NFL Draft 2025

NFL draft 2025

The Cardinals added some depth to their pass rush by taking Arizona State’s Korie Black late in the seventh round. Black shows good foot quickness and the long speed to match up with a lot of receivers on the outside but struggles to process his plays in real-time and can get blown off the ball by more physical competition. He will probably excel in a zone-heavy scheme as a specialist but will have to work on his pass rushing skills if he’s going to make an impact in the NFL.

The Raiders traded down twice and ended up with Jack Bech, a sure-handed wide receiver who can play bigger than his frame. Bech will likely start on special teams and will develop into a deep threat for a team with an explosive quarterback.

On the other side of the defense, the Ravens took Malaki Starks to be their starting middle linebacker. Starks is a well-built run defender who will be able to handle man/gap run-blocking concepts and can cover a fair amount of ground as a slot cornerback. He is a competitive and smart player, though he does struggle to make an impact in one-on-one pass coverage and is a better fit as a developmental situational starter.

The Bucs surprised a few people by taking Emeka Egbuka at nineteen overall, but I think it’s a smart move. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are getting older, and the addition of a talented insurance policy like Egbuka will keep Tampa Bay’s receiving corps strong for a while.
